Ubuntu
Expressão que existe nas línguas Zulu e Xhosa e se refere à essência do ser humano e à forma
como ele se comporta em sociedade. Nas palavras de Nelson Mandela:
“Respeito. Cortesia. Compartilhamento. Comunidade. Generosidade. Confiança. Desapego.
Este é o espírito do Ubuntu.”
A noção de Ubuntu também esteve ligada à história da luta contra o Apartheid (regime de
separação racial) e não por acaso, esta data foi escolhida para o lançamento deste Ep.
20 de novembro, dia da consciência negra, dia da morte de Zumbi dos Palmares, símbolo da
resistência e da luta de um povo. Uma luta antiga e atual pela repressão que mudou, mas não
desapareceu…
Com essa força e repleta de referências sonoras afro-brasileiras, Nala traz em seu 1º EP, um
resgate da nossa cultura e em homenagem aos nossos ancestrais.

Ubuntu
An expression that exists in the Zulu and Xhosa languages and refers to the essence of the
human being and the way he behaves in society. In the words of Nelson Mandela:
“Respect. Courtesy. Sharing. Community. Generosity. Trust. Detachment. This is the spirit of
Ubuntu.”
The notion of Ubuntu was also linked to the history of the fight against Apartheid (racial
separation regime) and not by chance, this date was chosen for the release of this Ep.
November 20th, Black conscience day, the day of the death of Zumbi dos Palmares, a symbol
of resistance and the struggle of a people. An ancient and current struggle for repression that
has changed but has not gone away…
With this strength and full of Afro-Brazilian sound references, Nala brings in her 1st EP, a
rescue of our culture and in honor of our ancestors.
